Description:
This job will be responsible for providing assistance to the Director of Emergency Management and Environmental Health and Safety within the office of Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance and Safety.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts facility & lab safety inspections to identify hazards
- Conducts safety equipment maintenance inspections and reports issues to the supervisor
- Manages safety training records
- Assists with the Hazard Communication program by managing the online SDS database
- Thermal Imaging of electrical panels
- Assist with drafting written safety programs
- Creates reports using Microsoft and Google Suite programs
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Current SUU Student required
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Capable in Microsoft Office and Google Suite programs
- Ability to learn new software programs
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Ability to organize priorities and work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Proficient in written and verbal communication in English
- Must be capable of completing physically demanding tasks which may include lifting up to 50lbs
- Must be able to work the majority of the shift on their feet
